Governance
The university has a university-wide management system that enables the university management to fulfil its statutory strategic and institutional responsibilities.
The university’s quality management system is structured as a learning system. It follows the quality control cycle (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and the interlocking internal and external control cycles:
The internal control cycle reflects the university’s internal planning and management, regulating cooperation between the Senate, the university management, the central administration, the eight faculties, and the strategic centers. The external control cycle reflects the ºÚÁϳԹϒs cooperation with the Canton of Bern’s authorities.
These instruments support the ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï in fulfilling its quality strategy, contributing to the continuous development of a culture of quality at all levels of the organization. They also support the implementation of the University Strategy 2030 and the fulfilment of the performance mandate of the Cantonal Government.
The participation of all stakeholders is ensured through their involvement in the following standing committees:
- Archives Committee
- Collegium Generale
- Digitalization Committee
- Ethics Committee
- Finance and Planning Committee
- Research Committee
- Committee for Gender Equality at the ºÚÁϳԹÏ
- Commission for International Relations
- Commission for Sustainable Development
